At Ahlulbayt Islamic Institute, our Deen curriculum offers a structured journey through Islamic learning, tailored for each developmental stage. Designed to nurture faith, character, and knowledge, our six progressive levels ensure a deep, age-appropriate understanding of Islam rooted in the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (s) and his Ahlulbayt (a).
Deen Classes
Focus: Building a love for Allah and the basics of Islam.
- Understanding Allah’s beautiful names and His creations.
- Learning the Kalimah, daily prayers, and basic Islamic manners.
- Introduction to Rasulullah (s) and the Ahlulbayt (a).
- Practicing key Islamic phrases like Bismillah and Alhamdulillah.
Focus: Strengthening identity as young Muslims.
- Introduction to Wudhu and Salah preparation.
- Learning about Prophets like Nabi Ibrahim and Nabi Musa.
- The importance of the Qur’an and its special role.
- Understanding Islamic festivals and respect for scholars.
Focus: Deepening connection with Allah and Islamic practices.
- Performing Wudhu and Salah correctly.
- Understanding the Ulul Azm Prophets and key Islamic laws.
- Memorizing names of the 12 A’immah (a) and Islamic months.
- Introduction to Furu’ ad-Din and Islamic daily routines.
Focus: Emphasizing personal responsibility in faith.
- Learning Taqlid and identifying their Marja’ (if baligh).
- Deepening understanding of najasah, taharah, and basic fasting rules.
- Building character through stories of Rasulullah (s) and Ahlulbayt (a).
- Performing Ghusl and advancing Salah skills.

- Advanced Salah practices (including Salat al-Ayat).
- Exploring Hijab, halal food, Islamic manners, and social responsibility.
- Studying Imamah and lessons from the lives of the Imams (a).

Quran Classes

- Basic Adab of handling and respecting the Qur’an.

- Reading individual letters with correct pronunciation.
- Basic joining rules (3-letter words).
- Continuing listening to and reciting short Surahs.
Focus: Reading short Surahs independently.
- Practicing reading with vowel rules.
- Memorizing key Surahs like Al-Fatiha and Al-Ikhlas.
- Emphasis on tajweed basics (makharij).
Focus: Stronger tajweed and understanding meanings.
- Rules of Noon Saakin, Meem Saakin, and Madd.
- Understanding translation of memorized Surahs.
- Introduction to Qur’an journaling and reflection.
Focus: Confident recitation with proper tajweed.
